St Mary Magdalene Battlefield

A view of the east front of the church and part of the churchyardSt Mary Magdalene, in the historic site of Battlefield, is a ‘closed church’ and is looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust. We do hold occasional services in the church— and it’s a very special part of our parish, it being one of the few places where there is plenty of daily footfall.

A copy of the flower map, showing a plan of the church, lists of plants in each section and below that a picture of each flower. As a parish, we are responsible for the churchyard. We’re very grateful to a working team who keep it looking lovely, and to local volunteers who have been keeping a log of the wildflower areas. We also have a new map, created by one of our parishioners, which shows us the amazing variety of plants that flourish there.

If you have any queries about the churchyard, please direct them to our wardens (details below). For queries about the church building, do get in touch with the CCT.
